This is the project of the restoration of an old, three-level structure in disrepair, located on the hillside below the fortress of Ortahisar, to create a holiday residence. The house, immediately adjacent to the market place, belongs to an Ortahisar family whose decision to return to Ürgüp has made it available for restoration. Including the rock carved spaces revealed during the process of cleaning, it’s a three storey house with 110㎡ of living space. The basement has storage space while the ground floor has a kitchen (transformed from a stable), a room and yard, and the upper floor features a hall, two rooms and a balcony.
