argos in Cappadocia is on Venice Bienalle!

16th International Venice Architecture Biennale, one of the pioneering global architecture events, opened its doors on May 26th. Being invited by the European Cultural Center, argos in Cappadocia is among the exhibited works.

The International Venice Architecture Biennale, one of the most long-established events of architecture in the world is again full with exhibitions and events all over the city under the ‘Free Space’ theme.

Invited by the European Cultural Center, argos in Cappadocia is part of an exhibition under the ‘Time, space, Existence’ theme with two big posters in Palazzo Mora. With the main exhibition on the dockyard and several events all over the city, the biennale will continue until 25 November 2018.

Made up of a restored series of ruins in the historic town site of Uçhisar, in the old, abandoned neighborhood on the hillside facing Pigeon Valley, argos in Cappadocia sets an example to the world as an ongoing restoration project that has started in 1996. Successfully giving new functions to structures from different levels of history without sacrificing the principles of preservation of historical texture, the hotel holds many international awards.

Having started in 1895 to become one of the most famous and prestigious cultural organizations in the world, The Venice Biennale organizes exhibitions and events under arts, architecture, cinema, dance, music and theatre categories with the aim of researching and promoting of new contemporary art trends. The Architecture Biennale which is organized as an independent event since 1988 is known to give direction to the architecture trends of the world.
